Marlette Chief saves man

Marlette Police Chief Brian McGinnis is being credited with saving the life of a 21-year old man who had apparently overdosed on heroin. McGinnis responded to a call August 2nd and found the victim on the floor, unconscious, and not breathing. He started CPR and was able to revive the man and then administered Narcan before EMS personnel arrived. The Chief said it is the fourth case of heroin overdose in the Marlette area in recent weeks with one of the victims dying from the overdose.
