Active shooter training at Marlette Thursday

Police will simulate active shooter in Marlette school

(Marlette) – The Marlette Police Department will be hosting the Michigan State Police for Active Shooter Training at the Marlette Elementary School on Thursday June 22nd from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. (Please avoid the school during this time).

The morning session will be attended by the Marlette, Croswell, Michigan State Police and Sandusky Police Departments along with area Fire Departments and EMS from Marlette, Croswell, Sandusky, Brown City, Burlington Twp. and Sanilac Central Dispatchers for the afternoon session.

There will be a large presence of emergency service vehicles in the parking lot as well as emergency personnel.

This exercise is ONLY a drill and is not an actual event
