Brown City Superintendent Douglas Muxlow has resigned his position effective May 1st. A school board member confirmed to WMIC that the action was taken at their meeting this week and the board has accepted the resignation. No details of the resignation were available. Board President Allan Burgess was authorized by the board to contact former Superintendent Jerry Steigerwald to see if he would consider serving as an interim until the board decides how the district will proceed. Discussion on the matter is expected at a meeting Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Administration building.
