“We had a large group of highly qualified candidates for the board to review. The board did a very thorough review of the application information and made a thoughtful decision on who to invite for interviews. They have done a great job so far.’ According to Scott Morrell, Consultant-Michigan Association of School Boards Executive Search Services, who is working with the board through the entire process.

Following the second evening of interviews, the board will be discussing who they would like to invite for a second interview to be held on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 PM. Following the conclusion of second interviews, the board will decide if they feel site visits are required or not.

The board has the option of deciding that evening or at their May 15th session on who they want as the next superintendent to replace Michael Carmean, who is retiring after seven years as the Sandusky Superintendent.
