Police searching for suspect

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect in a domestic-felonious assault that took place Tuesday morning. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies were called to the 16000 block of Donald Road in Mussey Township shortly before 9:30 a.m. A 35-year old woman said she had been assaulted by her 41-year old live-in boyfriend, Kenneth Block.

The woman, who had suffered several non-life threatening injuries, said Block threatened to kill her with a 12 gauge shotgun. It was believed the suspect was still in the home when deputies arrived. They requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and the Michigan State Police and set up a perimeter around the home.

After several attempts to contact the suspect were made, a search warrant was executed but Block had apparently left the home. During a search of the residence, the 12 gauge shotgun was recovered.

If anyone has information as to Block’s whereabouts, please call 810-987-1731.
