Croswell rescue personnel save life of fire chief

(Croswell) – It’s a call no fire department wants to get, especially a small rural one such as the Croswell fire department. Thanks to quick action by his wife Luanne, a retired registered nurse, and emergency personnel from the Croswell police, fire and EMS, Croswell Fire Chief Steve Bales is recovering from a heart attack he suffered February 3rd. Earlier this week, during their regular meeting, the Croswell city council honored those involved in the life-saving efforts in a special ceremony where Chief Bales was able to attend and personally thank those involved in his life-saving efforts.
