(Lapeer County) – Police are still searching for clues from two heists from car dealerships in Lapeer County earlier this month. Thieves, whom police believe were professionals, took high end audio equipment from dealerships near Lapeer and Imlay City valued at over $100,000 dollars. The Lapeer area theft resulted in more than 30 trucks being damaged to the tune of $92,000. Similar heists have been investigated in Macomb, Genesee and Saginaw counties.
