Deckerville selects firm for Superintendent search

The Deckerville school board has taken the first step in finding a replacement for retiring Superintendent Tricia Pawlowski, by selecting Michigan Leadership Institute to lead them in the search for their next top administrator. Deckerville is one of several area schools looking for a new superintendent including Croswell-Lexington, Sandusky and Harbor Beach. School officials said they are early in the process and may be having a special meeting with the firm to set a timeline for the replacement.

At their regular meeting this week, the board also recognized longtime track Coach Steve Linn for his contributions to the school’s programs. Linn was recently presented the prestigious Sweeney Award from the Michigan Interscholastic Coaches Track Association.
