Area teams lock-down league championships

In the WMIC, WTGV Basketball Champions Roll Call, we find –

BOYS CHAMPS

NCTL – Stripes     Peck’s 5th straight Division championship and gave Coach Jeremy Abrego his 100th career coaching win

NCTL – Stars   Dryden has clinched a share of the NCTL title – plays Deckerville Thursday night, giving the Eagles a chance to share the championship with a win.

GTC-East – Marlette defeated Brown City 49-40 to clinch back-to-back titles. Red Raiders are 19-1 overall, losing only to Reese.

GTC-West – USA

BWAC – Almont – First league championship in 24 years, clinched outright with Yale’s 52-50 upset win over Richmond

 

 

GIRLS CHAMPS

BWAC – Cros-Lex (fifth straight conference title and 8th in program history)

GTC-EAST – Sandusky (21-0 #1 Class C) 19th league title and playing for 25th district title this week.

GTC-West – Reese Undefeated in league play and are 18-2 overall, losing only to top-ranked Sandusky and Swan Valley

NCTL – Stripes – Peck girls are champs and gave Coach Jamie Abrego his 100th career coaching win along the way

NCTL – Stars – Kingston undefeated in league play, but bowed out of district tournament play Monday night, losing to Millington
