Worth Township opens bids on sewer project

Worth Township officials opened bids on their upcoming major sewer project with 11 contractors submitting proposals. In all, there are five different jobs that were bid and totaled just under $34 million dollars. The bids have been sent to the Township’s bond attorney for review and eventually, the township will be able to formulate an assessment plan.

Originally, officials thought the job, which has been mandated by the state, might come in around $23 million dollars, based on market prices over a year ago.
