Traffic stop produces discovery of mobile meth lab

(Port Huron) – Five people were arrested and are facing multiple charges following a traffic stop by Port Huron police. Around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, police made a traffic stop at the intersection of 10th and Oak St. A 22-year old man was taken in to custody for driving on a suspended license and a 20-year old passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana.

During the search of the impounded vehicle, a mobile meth lab was discovered by police, along with a backpack that was smoking. Trained officers were called to the scene to neutralize the mobile meth lab.

Three other suspects were later arrested on methamphetamine charges.
