The Sanilac Drug Task Force received follow-up lab results back on two recent overdose investigations. DTF had been doing follow up investigations involving a 34-year old female and 22-year old male from Sandusky that occurred on January 29, 2017, along with an overdose of a 33-year old female and 32-year old male from Worth Twp. on February 01, 2017.
In both cases, Carfentanil was found in recovered drugs believed used by all four subjects in the two separate events. The lab results are the first official finding of the dangerous drug Carfentanil that was either being sold as Heroin or used as a mixture with Heroin.
One of the Worth Twp. overdose victims recently died after being in a coma. It is suspected that her death was from the use of this potent drug Carfentanil.
