Deckerville pulled out a close 47-46 win over Vassar, getting 20 points from Brandon Pattullo in a GTC crossover contest

Memphis held off a pesky Carsonville-Port Sanilac team 81-70 in non-conference play. The Tigers had an outstanding night from senior tony Nugent who ripped the nets for 41 points including 30 in the second half.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

#1 Sandusky remained undefeated and set up a GTC-East showdown with Harbor beach tomorrow night with a 59-31 win over Unionville-Sebewaing. 10 Sandusky girls scored in the game, led by sophomore Gabby Gough with 15 points.

Bad Axe 56, Marlette 44 despite 15 points from Hannah Kady, 10 points and 12 rebounds from Emily Schaub and 10 points from Caitlin Quade. Marlette trailed 29-16 at the half, after a 12-4 second quarter.

Brown City had another big night from sophomore Kendal Muxlow. The Green Devils standout pumped in 29 points to lead her team to a 45-30 win over Laker. Becki Krause added 12.

If you would like to catch a high school basketball game but don’t really want to pay to go to the game, Imlay City might just have an answer for you. The school has extended an invitation to the public for their “Community Basketball Night” at Imlay City High School Friday night. Free admission to both the girls and boys varsity games against Yale is being offered. The girls’ game is set to tip off at 6:00 p.m.
