Man tased and arrested; Meth lab discovered

A 43-year old Port Huron man tried to get away from police, but ended up being tased after trying to hide in a nearby school. Police were alerted to what nearby residents felt was suspicious activity on Chestnut Street around 1 p.m. Tuesday. When police arrived, a suspect ran from them and in to Trinity Lutheran School on 10th Street.

Police located the man and tased him after the suspect refused to cooperate. A second suspect, a 28-year old Port Huron man was arrested, while a third person managed to escape.

During their investigation, police found a meth lab inside the Chestnut St apartment and dismantled it.

It is the same home that was raided by police and DTF agents in January with the arrests of five suspects.
