Sandusky to continue superintendent search

After two potential candidates from within the district turned down a chance to apply for the position, the Sandusky school board will now begin their external process of finding a successor for retiring Superintendent Michael Carmean. Both Steve Carlson, high school principal and Adam Lulis, Elementary principal, declined interviews saying they are content with their current positions with the district.

The board will now seek a new superintendent with the help of Michigan Association of School Board’s Scott Morrell who will accept applications until early April.

A new superintendent will hopefully be selected by mid-May, following interviews on May 4th.
