Taste of the Thumb another success

The 13th annual Taste Of The Thumb was held last weekend at the newly remodeled Ave Maria Parish Hall in Lexington. The fundraiser is held to raise money for local baby pantries in the Sandusky and Croswell area to support local families. This year was another success, with 235 people served and raising nearly $4,000. Seven area vendors attended the event, donating their food and time for the cause.

Kelly Joy’s Smokehouse and Joy’s catering were named the Best Taste while Stone Lodge won Best Display honors.

Event organizers said the annual event was a great opportunity for people to experience different foods from different restaurants all in one location.
