Ubly school district considers bond

Ubly Community Schools may be in for some sprucing up. At a recent special meeting earlier this week, a construction firm did a walk through with school officials to determine a possible list of improvements for the district. School officials stressed they are taking their time in creating the list and are setting up a committee, including district residents, that will help review what is proposed and be involved with a final decision on what needs to be done. Items being considered are the elementary school facilities, the gym, along with boilers and roof improvements.

Anyone who is interested in being part of the committee should contact Superintendent Joe Candella. The committee hopes to have results for the board by early spring, with a possible bond proposal to go before district voters in August.
