Active meth lab discovered

(Port Huron) – A 40-year old Port Huron man was arrested Wednesday night, following another execution of a search warrant on an active methamphetamine lab Wednesday night. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon said the department’s DTF division conducted an investigation into the sales and manufacturing of methamphetamine in the Port Huron area that led agents to a home in the 2400 block of 9th Street in Port Huron.

Members of the Drug Task Force and Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, trained in decontamination and dismantling of meth labs, entered the home about 7:00 p.m. and located an active meth lab, gas generators, meth lab components, scales and packaging materials. T

he suspect in the home was decontaminated and lodged in jail and is awaiting multiple drug charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.

The Port Huron Police Road Patrol and Port Huron Fire Department assisted at the scene.
