The 2016 Associated Press 8-Man All-State football team has been announced with local players earning a spot on the squad. Among those honored are Reese Bays-Kramer who played offensive line and linebacker for the state runner-ups Deckerville Eagles and teammate Austin Spatezel who played both offensive and defensive line.
Brandon Pattullo received honorable mention as did Owen-Gage players David Binder, Jake Warack and Garrett Bybee-Mullins and Chase Fremstad of Dryden.
Two players, Jason Whitens and Bobby Kleiman, and their head coach Kevin Bellefeuil from state champion Powers North Central were named to the team along with Wyatt Boik of Pickford, Daniel Nocerini of Crystall Falls and Brandon Sherrod of Tri-Unity Christian.
