(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) — Authorities are searching for a man who escaped custody Saturday afternoon during a prisoner transfer in St. Clair County. Sheriff’s deputies say 22-year old Nicholas Ian Mosher took off on foot as officers from the Clinton Township Police Department were handing him off to Marysville Police for a probation violation warrant. He was last seen fleeing into a wooded area near I-94 and 26 Mile Road shortly after 12:30 Saturday afternoon. Mosher was not handcuffed during the transfer due to a cast on his left wrist. He’s described as a six foot tall white male, weighing about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A picture of him can be seen on our website at www.sanilacbroadcasting.com.
