Human case of West Nile Virus reported in Sanilac County

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed a human case of West Nile Virus in Sanilac County. There was also a case of the virus reported in Macomb County last week. This brings to 13 cases reported this year in Michigan. No one has died of the disease in 2016. Two birds have been confirmed dead in St. Clair County this year–one in April and the other in August.
