“Game of Thrones” rules the Emmys

LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Game of Thrones” has the record. The blood-and-guts series has become the most honored prime-time TV series ever. The fantasy saga won the award for best dramatic series at the Emmys last night. That gives the show a total of 12 Emmys this year, between the ones it got last night and the ones picked up during last weekend’s technical arts ceremony. That brings the show’s all-time total to 38 – and that beats the total of 37 won by “Frasier” for the most awards every collected by a prime-time series.
