Flint man wanted on outstanding warrants take police on chase

(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — Authorities took a man into custody Tuesday afternoon following a 25 minute chase through two counties. Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding around 2:20 p.m. on Saginaw Road in Vassar Township, when the pursuit began. Once the vehicle entered Lapeer County, the Michigan State Police took over. The 26-year old Flint man then reentered Tuscola County and stopped at an address on Mead Road where he was arrested without incident. Troopers say the suspect, who didn’t have a valid driver’s license, had six outstanding warrants out for his arrest. Charges include assault and battery, probation violation, and controlled substance abuse. After searching the man’s vehicle, police seized cocaine and marijuana. The Flint man remains jailed in Tuscola County.
