(DRYDEN) — The Armada Township man that pleaded guilty to bank robbery in Lapeer County will learn his fate on August 8. 51-year old Thomas Goulette was scheduled to be sentenced July 18 for the Oxford Bank branch robbery in Dryden Township on January 8, but his attorney filed an objection in response to the sentence recommendation. Goulette, a former Dryden School’s Superintendent, is currently serving a 3 1/2 to 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the armed robbery of the Tri-County Bank in Brockway Township near Yale on January 7. During that heist, Goulette entered the bank and brandished a handgun, demanding money from the clerk. Goulette served the Dryden School district from 2005-2013. He faces up to life in prison for the Lapeer County robbery.
