(SANILAC COUNTY) — Local children involved in the Sandusky Summer Recreation program have the opportunity to brush up on their safety skills through the Safetyville Program. Sanilac County Sheriff Garry Biniecki says his department is working in conjunction with the city and Sandusky Police Department in presenting the program to children. The Safetyville Program teaches children about safety through the use of pretend businesses and roadways throughout Safetyville Village. The children get first hand experience by using peddle driven vehicles on the village’s roadways in an interactive way under the direction of an officer.
