(MARLETTE) — A new partnership between Marlette Regional Hospital and St. John Hospital and Medical Center and St. Mary’s of Michigan allows visiting patients with symptoms of stroke, epilepsy, brain tumor, and aneurysm have immediate access to advanced neurological care. The advanced audiovisual technology expands the reach and expedites evaluation and treatment by medical experts 24-hours a day, seven days a week by using a live video feed. Neurologists on call at St. John Hospital have the capability to view the patient’s lab results and cat scans through the video feed to assist Marlette Regional Hospital staff in the diagnosis. The telemedicine technology is also available at McKenzie Health System in Sandusky.
