Deckerville Schools fill vacancy on board and approve bid for track repair

(DECKERVILLE) — The Deckerville School Board Monday night appointed Jason McConnachie to fill the remainder of the term vacated by board trustee Steve Ladd. The term expires on December 1. Personnel changes were approved including the resignation of first grade teacher Amy Dumaw. The board hired Jessica Kubacki to fill the open preschool assistant teaching position and Lisa Fritch as the Superintendent Secretary effective September 1. In other business, the bid of $37,280 from AG Sports Services, LLC was approved for track repairs with the work completed by next month. The Deckerville School Board will hold their July organizational and regular meeting on July 25 at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
