PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say the 33-year-old naked intruder shot by a Portland homeowner was former NFL Detroit Lions player Stanley Wilson II. The Oregonian/Oregon Live reports that Multnomah County Sheriff’s office on Thursday identified Wilson as the man who tried to break through a back window of a multimillion-dollar home on Wednesday. He is still hospitalized but expected to recover. The sheriff’s office says it can’t provide details on the extent of Wilson’s injuries or why he was on the property, naked and trying to get into the house. Oregon law allows a person to use deadly physical force against someone trying to burglarize their home. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office has yet to review the details of the case and investigators are still compiling evidence.
