(PORT HURON) — A former Dryden Community Schools Superintendent has been sentenced to prison time for the armed robbery of a St. Clair County bank. 51-year-old Thomas Goullette was sentenced to 3 1/2 to 20-years in prison on a charge of armed robbery Monday. The Armada Township man pleaded guilty last month to the January 7 robbery of the Tri-County Bank in Brockway Township. Goullette said during his plea hearing that he went into the bank near Yale with a starter pistol and demanded money from tellers. Tips lead authorities to Goullette’s home where he was arrested on January 21. He is also the suspect in the January 8 armed robbery of the Oxford Bank branch in Dryden Township. A warrant was issued through the Lapeer County Prosecutors Office. Reports say Goullette was the Dryden Community Schools superintendent in Lapeer County from 2005 to 2013.
