Canadian resident injured in single-vehicle crash Sunday in Tuscola County

(FREMONT TOWNSHIP) — Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash that injured a 93-year old man Sunday afternoon in Fremont Township. Deputies responded to M-46 near Cat Lake Road just after 2 p.m. An investigation showed that the man, a Canadian resident, lost control of his vehicle while traveling east on M-46. He hit a mailbox, went airborne, and overturned into a ditch. Deputies say the man was trapped inside the vehicle and was rescued by emergency personnel and the Mayville Fire Department. The man was then flown by FlightCare to St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. His condition is unknown.
