Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office investigates larceny of lawn mowers

(LAPEER COUNTY) — Authorities are seeking tips after two lawn mowers were stolen from Dick Coulter, Inc., the implement dealer located at 6672 Lake Pleasant Road in North Branch. The theft was reported on Monday after surveillance video captured the suspect and suspect vehicle at the business on Sunday at around 4:30 p.m. The pickup truck was parked behind the business as the suspect walked to the front and took the two orange Husqvarna lawn mowers. Police say the mowers were started with keys purchased by the suspect. 20 minutes later, the truck took off south on Lake Pleasant with the lawn mowers loaded on a landscaping trailer. The truck then turned west into an industrial park across the street. The suspect is described as a man in his 40’s, average height with a slim build and clean shaven. The pickup was a Ford F-250 quad cab, dark in color with tinted windows. One of the mowers was a riding lawn mower with the model number YTH 18542. The 18 HP mower had a 42 inch cut. The other was a zero turn with model number PZ6034FX. The zero turn is 34 HP with a 60 inch cut.
