Metamora Resident Arrested for Distributing Child Sexually Abusive Material

(METAMORA) — A 27-year old Metamora man has been arrested for distributing and possessing child sexually abusive materials. The Pennsylvania State Police was assisted by the Thumb Area Narcotics Team and Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lapeer Post during a search of the suspect’s home where digital evidence in the case was seized. Timothy Allen Bryant was arrested and arraigned Wednesday in Lapeer County on two counts of extortion, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime involving extortion, five counts of child sexually abusive activity, two counts of distributing child sexually abusive material, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime involving child sexually abusive material, and five counts of possession of child sexually abusive material. Each felony charge carries between 4 and 20-years in prison. Bryant remains jailed on a $1 million cash or surety bond. His next court appearance has been set for Friday, May 13 at 9 a.m. in Lapeer County District Court.
