(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies say a 72-year old Mayville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Saginaw Road near Oak Road in Vassar Township.An investigation showed that the vehicle driven by the victim, was traveling east on Saginaw Road around 2:40 p.m. and swerved into the westbound lane before leaving the roadway. The vehicle then struck a driveway causing it to go airborne and land in the ditch. Witnesses and deputies attempted CPR on the man, who was not breathing, but were unsuccessful. He was declared dead at the scene. Deputies say the man was the lone occupant and an autopsy is pending.
