National Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, April 30

(AREA) — A number of local law enforcement agencies are joining the Drug Enforcement Administration on Saturday, April 30 during National Drug Take Back Day, giving residents an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by safely disposing of dangerous, expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs. Liquids will not be accepted. The event will take place between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office at 65 N. Elk Street in Sandusky, Huron County Sheriff’s Office at 120 S. Heisterman Street in Bad Axe, and St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department at 1170 Michigan Road in Port Huron. Unwanted prescription pills may also be turned in at the Michigan State Police Caro and Lapeer Posts on Saturday, April 30 between 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
