25th annual Jr. High D.A.R.E. Invitational Track Meet set for May 5

(CROSWELL) — The Sanilac County Drug Task Force will host the 25th annual Junior High D.A.R.E. Invitational Track Meet on Thursday, May 5 at the Croswell-Lexington High School Track beginning at 4 p.m. All seven school districts in Sanilac County, including Brown City, Carsonville-Port Sanilac, Cros-Lex, Deckerville, Marlette, Peck, and Sandusky, will be participating in both the boys’ and girls’ division track events. The public is invited to attend free of charge. The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program is in its 26th consecutive year of being presented to Sanilac County students. The goal of the program is to prevent substance abuse, violence, and bullying among children. The Drug Task Force Millage funds the D.A.R.E. program, along with funding for school counseling services for young children in need.
