Drugs seized during two separate raids in Sanilac County; charges pending

(SANILAC COUNTY) — The Sanilac County Drug Task Force seized illegal drugs during two separate raids last week. The first took place in the 4000 block of W. Miller Road in Marlette Township on Sunday, April 3. Officers seized prepackaged heroin, illegal prescription narcotics, packaging materials for drug sales, a digital scale and cash. A 25-year old man and 23-year old woman were questioned and released pending lab analysis results. Criminal charges are being sought through the Sanilac County Prosecutor’s office. The second raid happened Friday, April 8 at a home on Jefferson Street in Sandusky. Officers seized prepackaged cocaine, marijuana, and medications there were not prescribed to anyone at the residence. Five non-residents, two women and three men ranging in age from 20 to 24 were cited for frequenting a drug house. Additional charges are pending. The homeowner is expected to be charged with possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house. A minor will be charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver, a probation violation, and maintaining a drug house. An investigation continues.
