(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — The Michigan Department of Transportation will resurface nearly 4 miles of M-25 and M-24 from Bay Park Road to the Tuscola/Huron county line starting Monday, April 18. Work will also address curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk and ramp upgrades, drainage, and railroad crossing repairs. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained at all times under flag control. Later this summer, a full detour will be in place for up to two weeks while railroad crossing upgrades are completed on M-25 at the Huron Eastern Railroad crossing. MDOT will inform motorists of the detour prior to construction. The entire project is expected to be done by October.
