Taylor Road reconstruction over I-69 starts April 1 in St. Clair County

(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) — The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin reconstruction work on the Taylor Road bridge over I-69 in St. Clair County this Friday, April 1. The work is expected to be complete by August. Taylor Road will be closed at I-69 beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. I-69 will be closed at Taylor Road at 10 p.m. that night while crews begin demolition of the bridge. Motorists will be directed off I-69 at the Taylor Road exit ramps (Exit 194). I-69 will reopen on Monday, April 4 by 5 a.m., while the bridge will remain closed until August. Detours will be in place during construction. Northbound Taylor Road access to eastbound and westbound I-69 will be detoured south on Taylor Road, east on Griswold Road, and north on Wadhams Road. Southbound Taylor Road access to eastbound and westbound I-69 will be detoured east on Lapeer Road and south on Wadhams Road.
