(LAPEER COUNTY) — Four teenagers accused of breaking into a Lapeer County church face criminal charges for their actions. Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the Country Christian Church on N. Lapeer Road in Deerfield Township last Saturday morning after a custodian found that someone had been inside the building. Authorities say a rock was used to break a window and once inside, the suspects caused extensive damage. The thieves stole audio-video equipment and even pop and candy for an upcoming Easter event at the church. The suspects were identified by police and the stolen property was recovered. Charges are pending through the Lapeer County Prosecutor’s Office.
