(BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP) — A 48-year-old Port Hope man was killed late Friday afternoon in a single vehicle crash on Filion Road west of Minden Road in Huron County’s Bloomfield Township. According to Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson, Andrew Schulte was traveling west on Filion Road when his pickup left the road, struck an embankment and overturned several times, ejecting him from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses who saw the vehicle prior to the accident told police that it looked like the driver was having difficulties controlling it. An autopsy was ordered and the crash remains under investigation.
