Drug raids net morphine pills and illegal drugs in Huron and Sanilac counties

(AREA) — Huron County Sheriff’s deputies conducted to drug raids Wednesday night with assistance from Sebewaing Police. The warrants were the result of an ongoing morphine trafficking investigation. Sheriff Kelly Hanson says the first bust took place at the Dix Apartments in Sebewaing where a 59-year-old man was questioned and released. Morphine, syringes and a crack pipe were seized. The second search warrant was executed at the Sebewaing Terrace Apartments. A 55-year-old woman was questioned and released. Morphine and cash were seized. Felony charges are pending in both cases. Information was obtained that lead deputies to home in the 5800 block of Bay City-Forestville Road in Sanilac County’s Delaware Township. Huron County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by members of the Sanilac County Drug Task Force and located prescription medication, marijuana, cash and two firearms. Further charges are pending.
