CSB Bank set to merge with Lapeer County Bank and Trust

(AREA) — For the second time in less than a month, there is a merger of two area banks. CSB bank will be merged into Lapeer County Bank and Trust. CSB Bank has $240 million in assets with offices in Capac, Yale, Almont, Emmett, Imlay City, Memphis, and Armada, while Lapeer County Bank and Trust has assets of $324 million, and locations in Lapeer, Metamora, Attica, North Branch, and Imlay City. The merger, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, is subject to federal approval as well as the approval of the shareholders of Capac Bancorp, Inc. The banks will operate under a new name with a total of 14 offices in St. Clair, Lapeer and Macomb counties. Recently Talmer Bank announced plans to merge with Chemical Bank.
