(SANDUSKY)–The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday afternoon and approved several amendments to the 2016 budget. An increase in revenue totaling $16,448.23 was added, while total expenses saw a total increase of $16,448.23. Board members also approved the payment of additional general fund bank account checks for January 2016. In other business, Commissioners honored Elmer Township resident Larry Stirrett for his years of service to the county. Stirrett served as Treasurer of Elmer Township, as well as an officer on the Sanilac County Chapter of the Michigan Township Association. The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners meet again on Tuesday, March 1st at 1:00 p.m. in the commissioner’s chambers.
