(PORT HURON) — The St. Clair County Community College Board of Trustees selected Dr. Karen Niver of Port Huron to fill the vacant trustee seat. Niver will serve a 10 1/2 month term, expiring December 31, 2016. She was chosen from eight applicants for the vacant seat that was held by former Trustee David Oppliger. Oppliger resigned on January 18. The decision was made at the board’s regular meeting Thursday night.
