Sanilac County Drug Task Force nets illegal drugs in two separate raids

(SANILAC COUNTY) — Several people are facing drug-related charges after authorities conducted two raids last week in Sanilac County. The first took place Friday afternoon at a home in the 8000 block of Wildcat Road in Worth Township. The warrant was issued based on a drug overdose investigation. Sanilac County Drug Task Force investigators seized suspected pre-packaged heroin and other drug paraphernalia from the home. A 28-year old Worth Township man was hospitalized and will be questioned by authorities at a later date. Charges are pending as the investigation continues. The second bust happened Saturday evening at a home in the 1000 block of Bay City-Forestville Road in Minden Township. The warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation by the Ubly Police Department and Huron County Sheriff’s Department. Officers seized 50 marijuana plants, two pounds of processed marijuana, almost two dozen pre-packaged bags of processed marijuana, marijuana wax, prescription pills, and over $1,800 in cash. A 42-year old man and two women ages 70 and 19, all from Minden Township and a 20-year old Ruth man are suspects in the case. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
