(DENMARK TOWNSHIP) — Authorities in Tuscola County are investigating the death of a person found in the basement of a Denmark Township home. Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the home on W. Caro Road Saturday at 11:50 a.m. for a domestic assault. Once deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that a deceased person was in the basement, unrelated to the domestic assault. The Michigan State Police crime lab is assisting in the investigation and Undersheriff Glen Skrent says the cause and manner of death is pending the results of an autopsy. One person was arrested at the home for domestic violence and transported to the Tuscola County jail.
