Suspect in Brockway Twp. Bank Robbery Arraigned

(PORT HURON) — The suspect in the armed robbery of the Tri-County Bank in Brockway Township, near Yale has been arraigned. 51-year old Thomas Goulette of Armada Township has been charged with one count of armed robbery. He remains jailed in St. Clair County on a $1 million bond. Goulette’s probable cause hearing has been set for February 2 at 9 a.m. in St. Clair County District Court in Port Huron. Authorities say Goulette allegedly entered the bank on North Brockway Road on January 7, brandishing a gun and demanding money. He fled in a pickup truck, which was later identified through tips. Goulette was arrested at his home. According to Dryden Township Police Chief Larry Pack, Goulette remains a suspect in the January 8 armed robbery of the Oxford Bank branch in Dryden Township. Goulette served as the former Superintendent at Dryden Community Schools, retiring in 2013.
