Capac BP robbery suspect arraigned; bond set at $250,000

(PORT HURON) — The suspect in the Capac BP gas station armed robbery has been arraigned. 30-year old Robert Johnson of Imlay City has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of felonious assault, and 3rd offense habitual offender. Johnson is accused of going into the Capac BP Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., brandishing a handgun and demanding money. Once he got the money, he left the station and fled in a mini van, which was later found abandon on westbound I-69. Johnson turned himself in at the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office and was transported to the St. Clair County jail. His bond was set at $250,000 and a probable cause hearing was set for January 26.
