(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) — Nearly two dozen properties managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources are for sale over the next few weeks in a sealed-bid auction. The auction features 23 properties located in Alpena, Arenac, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Crawford, Gladwin, Mackinac and St. Clair counties. The parcels of land range in size from less than an acre to 240 acres. Most of the properties were acquired through tax reversion and proceeds collected in the auction will benefit future recreation opportunities offered by the Department of Natural Resources. The auction began Tuesday and will run through February 10. The sealed bids will be opened February 22 in a witnessed bid opening.
