Armed Robbery in Yale: Suspect sought by authorities

(YALE) — An armed robber struck the Tri-County Bank on North Brockway Road in Yale Thursday morning at around 10:15 a.m. St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies say the suspect, a white man in his late 50’s or early 60’s and wearing a ski-mask, went into the bank and brandished a gun, demanding money. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He fled the scene in a dark blue Chevy crew cab pickup with a light blue tailgate heading east on Oatman Road, a mile south of the stop light in Yale. Police say there were no injuries in the holdup. Deputies are being assisted in the search by Yale Police, Michigan State Police Troopers, and U.S. Border Patrol agents. The FBI is also involved in the investigation.
